Are developing countries pioneering the future of energy?

  • Chuc's 20 Dover Street W1S 4LU (map)

Approximately 1.2 billion people (about 16% of the global population) live without electricity. Renewable energy is changing the old paradigm and is providing developing countries with cost-effective and viable solutions. As a philanthropist, Sarah Butler-Sloss has been championing access to affordable and clean energy since the 90s through the Ashden Trust and now the Ashden Awards for Sustainable Energy. A trustee of Client Earth, she is internationally recognised for her work in the field of green energy over the past 20 years. Sara will tell us about about her philanthropic career, her investment philosophy, impact measurement and what she sees as the future trends for renewable energy.

This is a Walk The Talk Circle event.
