Entrepreneurship in countries of conflict

  • Chuc's (tbc) 20 Dover Street W1S 4LU (map)

In recent years, the economy of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq has been impacted by the global drop in oil prices, the conflict against the Islamic State and a dispute with the central government in Baghdad, intensified by the independence referendum held in September. The region also hosts nearly a million displaced individuals from Syria and across Iraq. Drawing upon her work at Five One Labs which she co-founded, Patricia Letayf will discuss how entrepreneurship can help address not only challenges of displacement, but also contribute to the development of the KRI's region's economy.

This is a Walk The Talk Circle event.
