A conversation with Andre Heller Perache, Head of Programmes at Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders).
Faced with multiple challenges, humanitarian action struggles to break out of the space that politics assigns to it. Can humanitarian aid reshape itself? Andre will draw on his 15-year experience on the field – in, amongst others, Yemen, DRC and Afghanistan – to discuss the present landscape of aid and the most progressive and effective ideas in the sector. He will give us an insight on how to look at impact and the different approaches taken by aid organisations.
Andre currently oversees the research & advocacy team and manages collaborative projects with outside organisations aimed at making MSF a more effective emergency aid actor. Previous roles include Head of Mission in Haiti and South Soudan as well as Consultant on the Syria crisis with Open Society Foundations.
This is a Walk The Talk Circle event.
